Andre Gauthier, President of Canadian Matamec Explorations Inc. and Edward Miller, Director of investor relations visited Asian Metal on the morning of June 20th, meeting with Vivian Pang and Maggie Lee, rare earth analysts of Minor Metals department of Asian Metal.
Canadian Matamec Explorations Inc. is a junior mining exploration company whose main focus is in developing the Kipawa heavy rare earths deposit with Toyotsu. In parallel, the Company is exploring more than 35km of strike length in the Kipawa Alkalic Complex for rare earths-yttrium-zirconium-niobium-tantalum mineralization on its Zeus property. The company is also exploring for gold, base metals and platinum group metals. Its gold portfolio includes the Matheson JV property located along strike and in close proximity to the Hoyle Pond Mine in the prolific mining camp of Timmins, Ontario.
Andre introduced their rare earth project in Kipawa to Vivian Pang and Maggie Lee in detail. He also noted that one of their advantages is Kipawa is rich in heavy rare earth elements. They are confident to become a world major heavy rare earth supplier out of China in 2016. Andre and Edward also care about rare earth market tendency in China, therefore, Vivian Pang provide them an introduction about current rare earth market situation of China. Vivian revealed that rare earth market shows flat tendencies in China at present. Chinese government enhances the attachment towards illegal mining, which will lead the market to rebound gradually.
At the end of the meeting, Andre and Edward expressed their appreciation to Asian Metal for the information and they hope to communicate with Asian Metal promptly about the market dynamics in the future.
