Asian Metal: Hello, Ms Li. Thank you for accepting the interview of Asian Metal. Firstly, please make a brief introduction about the main business of your company.

Located in Hetun industrial zone, Guta district, Jinzhou city, Liaoning province with the former name of Jinzhou Hongda Ferroalloy Co., Ltd., Jinzhou Hongda New Material Co., Ltd. is a special production base for ferroalloy and ferroalloy powder which has passed the ISO9001:2008 Quality Management Certification and has won the title of Observing Contract and Strengthening Faith granted by State Administration of Industry and Commerce. In addition, we are also the producing enterprise designated by China Electrical Equipment Industrial Association Welding Material Branch and China Welding Material Special Commission.

We mainly produce ferromolybdenum, ferrovanadium, ferrotitanium, manganese-silicon alloy, medium (low) carbon ferromanganese, high carbon ferrochrome, chrome metal, ferroboron, ferrotungsten and other materials and powders which are widely used in welding material, metallurgy, chemical and other producing areas. Regarding the quality of products as the life of the company, we make production in strict accordance with national standard. Having won high reputation among customers, we can sell our products to many regions in both home and abroad.

Asian Metal: Prices for ferrochrome have been firm since the beginning of 2017. What do you think of the willingness of downstream customers to accept prices of high carbon chrome powder?

Since the fourth quarter of 2016, prices for chrome series of materials have increased continuously. Despite the slight price fluctuation, prices for chrome series of materials continued to stand at high levels in the first quarter of 2017 compared with those in the same period of last year. Under the context of the price increase for raw material, prices of our products have increased accordingly. Our customers are willing to accept the increased prices as they are regular customers and have established long-term cooperation with us.

Asian Metal: What’s your opinion about the market outlook of chrome metal? What will influence prices of chrome metal powder?

Since April, prices for South African origin chrome series of materials have declined continuously, but the batch of material which were purchased at low prices, will probably reach ports of China in late May at earliest and thus will bring some hysteretic influences on prices of chrome salts and chrome metal. Besides, affected by the stricter environmental inspection in China, the supply for chrome metal upstream products is very tight. Thus, it is expected that prices for chrome metal and chrome powder will be mainly firm in May.

Asian Metal: Would you like to introduce the production scale of other ferroalloy powder in your company?

In addition to chrome metal powder, we also produce chromium carbide powder, ferromolybdenum powder, ferrovanadium powder, ferrotungsten powder, ferroboron powder, welding powder, electrolytic manganese powder and others. All the above materials can be produced according to requirements of customers.
