On the morning of January 23rd, 2026, Ms. Daphne Zhang, the Consultant & Senior Product Manager of Asian Metal, visited visited Shanxi Wenxi Kangtai Metal Products Co., Ltd. She held an in-depth exchange with General Manager Mr. Gang Li regarding the application scenarios and demand outlook for magnesium alloys in 2026. Mr. Li stated that the magnesium alloy industry is poised for structural growth opportunities in 2026: on one hand, the sustained price differential between magnesium and aluminum will continue to create space for substitution demand, accelerating the penetration of magnesium alloys in high-end manufacturing sectors such as automobiles and aerospace; on the other hand, the trend of "replacing plastic with magnesium" will generate clear incremental demand in lightweight transportation areas like two-wheeled vehicles, aligning with the dual global trends of green, low-carbon development and material upgrades. These two engines will jointly drive the transition of magnesium alloys from a "cost-sensitive" to a "value-driven" material, signifying the industry's entry into a strategic new cycle empowered by technology and expanded applications.

Established in May 2014 and located in the Premium Steel Industrial Park of Shanxi Wenxi Economic Development Zone, Shanxi Wenxi Kangtai Metal Products Co., Ltd. is an emerging enterprise specializing in the production of new materials of magnesium and aluminum alloys. Utilizing advanced production processes and energy-saving, environmentally friendly equipment, the company manufactures magnesium alloy ingots, rods, and other metal products. These products are used in diverse fields including 3C electronics, communications, high-speed rail, aerospace, military applications, and daily necessities, and are sold worldwide. To enhance the company's industrial chain, boost market competitiveness, and improve economic efficiency, a new magnesium alloy and rod production line project has been initiated.
