Metro Mining visits Asian Metal

On the afternoon of January 28th, 2026, Mr. Norman Ting, Marketing General Manager of Metro Mining Limited, accompanied by Commercial Manager Mr. Chaoqian Wu, visited Asian Metal and had a pleasant meeting with Mr. Friday Gao, Chief Consultant.

Mr. Norman Ting introduced that the company focuses on the production of monohydrate bauxite in Australia and exports to China. In 2025, their bauxite output reached nearly 7 million tonnes. Despite the recent decline in bauxite prices, the company remains optimistic about demand from the Chinese market. Mr. Friday Gao reviewed the price trends of imported bauxite in 2025 and analyzed the alumina market. He pointed out that although bauxite prices have fallen, most alumina refineries continue to operate steadily, and thus China's consumption demand for imported bauxite is expected to keep growing in 2026.
