Asian Metal visits Chalco Shandong, Sun Rise Fuel and Weiqiao Aluminum
On the morning of January 18, Mr. Friday Gao, Consultant of Asian Metal visited Sun Rise Fuel and met with Mr. Xu Bin, General Manager of International Trade Department from the company, and Mr. Shao Wei, Sales Manager of the department.
They talked about the bauxite and alumina market. According to Mr. Shao, a few alumina refineries will increase production in March, which may weigh on the alumina prices. Mr. Xu pointed out that they conclude around 3 million tonnes of domestic bauxite per year with the main market in Shanxi.

In the morning, Mr. Gao also visited Chalco Shandong and met with Mr. Song Liujiu, Manager of Global Resources Development Center and Mr. Chen Yue, Director of the department.
Mr. Song pointed out that there will be more choices for Chinese alumina refineries in 2018, as more bauxite projects in Guinea, Australia and Indonesia will come on stream.

In the afternoon, Mr. Gao visited Weiqiao Aluminum and had a meeting with Mr. Zhao Qianfang, General Manager of the company, and Mr. He Faping, Vice Executive Secretary General of Binzhou Aluminum Institute.
Meanwhile, Mr. Gao had a meeting with Mr. Jiang Zhen, Vice Executive General Manager of the Marketing Headquarter and Mr. Dai Xiangjun, General Manager of Marketing Branch One.
