Asian Metal visits Chuokosan, Tomatsu Metallurgical and Tak Trading
On 3 December, 2018, Ms. Daphne Zhang, Consultant of magnesium industry & senior product manager from Asian Metal visited Chuokosan Co., Ltd., Tomatsu Metallurgical Co., Ltd. Tokyo Branch and Tak Trading Co., Ltd. in Japan, and exchanged views on the current magnesium market status.
In the morning of 3 December, 2018, Ms. Daphne visited Chuokosan and held in-depth discussions and exchanged views on the current status and future market trend in the magnesium market with Mr. SAITO HAJIME, President, Mr. Mamoru Saito, General Manager of Management Division, Mr. Keiji Nikura, General Manager of Sales 2nd Division, Mr. Takahiro Morito, General Manager of Designing Division and Ms. Wang Tong, General Manager of Shanghai Chuokosan.

With an annual production capacity of 100t of magnesium anode, 500t of 99.95%min magnesium powder, 2,000t of magnesium alloy granule, Chuokosan focuses on the production of magnesium prodcuts, aluminum anode and zinc anode, actively cooperating with Japanese auto manufacturers to develop magnesium alloy parts. Meanwhile, they also make efforts on the research of rare earth magnesium alloy and magnesium battery. Chuokosan has been Asian Metal's member for many years and thinks highly of its objective, fair and timely information service. They would take part in the 8th Magnesium Summit 2019 on 11-12 April, 2019 in Zhuhai.
Later, Ms. Daphne had a meet with Ms. Yang Lin, Chief of Tomatsu Metallurgical. The company mainly focuses on the production of aluminium alloy and consumes about 10t of magnesium ingot per month. In addition, they also involve of small volume in magnesium ingot. Commenting on the magnesium ingot market, Ms. Daphne explained the price rising in 2018 for magnesium ingot and also gave an outlook of the market trend in 2019.

In the afternoon of 3 December, 2018, Ms. Daphne visited Tak Trading Co., Ltd., and met Mr. Takafumi Kamishima, Sales Director and Ms. Zhu Xiaqin. They held in-depth discussions and exchanged views on market status of 2018 under the strict environmental protection inspection policy and outlook of 2019 in the magnesium industry. With an annual trading volume of 7,000t, Tak has been engaged in magnesium industry for many years, occupying a certain market share. Tak would take part in the 8th Magnesium Summit 2019 on 11-12 April, 2019 in Zhuhai.
