On account of the Chinese stimulus package policy embarked upon about 18months ago, the chromium industry is gradually recovering after the slump in the first half year of 2009 with prices rising again and confidence being restored to the market. Almost all signals show that China is walking out of the shadow of global economic crisis, but the sharp price increase in the first quarter and then sudden price drop in the second quarter of 2010 bring a wake-up call to stakeholders.
